Location: La Canonja, Tarragona
BASF SONATRACH PropanChem S.A. It is a joint project created by BASF and SONATRACH for the production of propylene.
To supply the necessary propane, a propane tank located at the port of Tarragona, and the relevant infrastructure built.
The facility has a production capacity of 350,000 tons of propylene annually.
The first drop of propylene in Tarragona occurred on 27 January 2003
BACKGROUND
The aim was to eliminate continuous assembly and disassembly of temporary elevators whenever had to make a plant shutdown for maintenance.
THE PROYECT
Design an alternative that suited permanent lifting needs, both daily and punctual
(Maintenance), and to be ready to work in explosive atmospheres.
THE SOLUTION
Industrial Turboiber installed an elevator ATEX designed for use under protection II3G IIB T3.
